Testphase

Nein, ich bin nicht völlig untätig, nur gerade mit mehreren Dingen gleichzeitig beschäftigt und bisher mit nichts fertig. Ich probiere gerade was aus... Dies ist zum Beispiel der Anfang einer Decke mit Wellenmuster, gehäkelt, jede Reihe wird eine andere Farbe, weil ich bei Attic24 das einmal in klein und einmal in groß gesehen habe: http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2013/02/mini-ripple-doll-blanket-ta-dah.html

Und ich war völlig begeistert. Habe leider nicht genug Wolle um so ein großes Projekt zu machen und da ich mich gerade zum Resteverwerten zwinge, muss es erst einmal zum ausprobieren reichen. 

No I am not being lazy but am doing more than one thing at a time! So far nothing is really ready yet but I am trying things out.... This for example is the beginning of a blanket with a wavy pattern that is crocheted. I saw it at Attic 24 and wanted to try it out (http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/2013/02/mini-ripple-doll-blanket-ta-dah.html) But as I don´t have enough wool for a bit blanket - and as I am trying to work off all my left over wool - I am making a trial version.

Meine zweite Baustelle: lernen, wie man Öhrchen direkt an die Mütze mit dranstrickt. Leichter gesagt als getan, vor allem da ich mich mit dem Nadelspiel immer noch bekriege... Aber so weit, so gut. Von der Größe her wird das nur eine Kindermütze und ich glaube die Öhrchen sitzen zu weit hinten, aber es ist ja auch nur eine Testversion...

This is my second project: learning how to add the ear-part to a hat while knitting. Easier said than done. Especially because the 5 knitting needles and me, we don´t really get along! But so far so good. The size would fit a child but the ear-parts are too far in the back, but as it is just a test version, I think it´s alright...

Haha, ich liebe diesen Wollberg... Das ist ein ein Strang Wolle gewesen und ich habe blauäugig gedacht, ich könnte das so verarbeiten.... Auch wieder was gelernt! Einen Großteil habe ich schon entkutzeln können, der Rest geht auch bestimmt noch. Das Muster ist toll und passt vor allem prima in die Handtasche zum mitnehmen und um es während der Straßenbahnfahrt zu verarbeiten!

Haha, I love this mountain of yarn! It was put together not in a ball but in a string and I thought I could start using it like this. Silly me! I redid a big part of it so far and will manage the rest as well, I think. I love the colour change and it is a very nice size to put in your purse to take along to work in the tram and so on!

Lila / purple

Jetzt hatte ich aber einen Lauf, hier ist schon die nächste Mütze fertig! Lila mal wieder, dieses Mal mit Zopfmuster! Da diese für niemanden bestimmt ist, sucht sie ein neues Zuhause!

Wow it is going well there is the next hat coming! Another purple one, with a plait pattern! And because there is noone waiting for this one, it is looking for a new home...!

Schelm unterwegs! / On the go!

Ich hatte Urlaub und so bin ich mit dem Schelm verreist, damit mit meine Ohren in der Kälte nicht abfrieren! Daher eine original Schelm-Mütze vor dem Brandenburger Tor in Berlin und dann noch einmal drei in Schweden in und bei Helsingborg! Hilfe, war das kalt! Sieht man besonders auf Bild 2 und 3, da hatte ich eigentlich eine noch dickere Mütze von FROSTFREY (Mützenmarke hier aus Hannover) an, die mit Fleece gefüttert ist und noch meine zwei Kapuzen dazu...  und dann habe ich kurz getauscht für das Foto! -12°C, brrr! Lustig war`s!

I was on holidays and so I took my Schelm so my ears don´t fall off! So you see an original Schelm hat in front of the Branderburger Tor in Berlin and three pictures in Sweden, near or in Helsinborg! And it was freezing cold!!! You can see that very well in the pics 2 and 3 where I exchanged my warm, fleece-filled hat from FROSTFREY (which is also coming from Hannover) and my two hoods for the two hats to take the picture! -12°C, holy moly, that was sooo cold! But funny!

Ein ganzes Wohnzimmer voller UFOs / a whole living room full of UFOs

Auch mein Vorsatz mehr zu posten in diesem Jahr hat noch keine Früchte getragen, aber ich habe eine Ausrede, ich war krank. Und es gibt nicht zu viel zu berichten, außer dass ich zu viel gelesen und zu wenig gehandarbeitet habe. Aber es sammeln sich dafür massenweise UFOs in meinem Wohnzimmer. Ein UFO ist ein unfinished object, also ein unfertiges Projekt. Und da findet sich gerade ein riesiges Sammelsurium hier... Hilfe!
Immerhin ist eine Mütze und ein lustiges Stirnband fertig geworden. Mein Mann sagt, die Farbe ist wie aus den 80ern, aber er mag nunmal kein Orange, ich finde es super! Habe mich zum ersten Mal am Muschelmuster versucht und es ist sehr einfach zu machen! Sie sind beide noch zu haben und können gerne bei mir erworben werden, finden sich bei "Sucht ein neues Zuhause".
Ich versuche gerade nebenbei ein paar Sachen auszuprobieren, das macht mir gerade mehr Spaß als abzuarbeiten, daher ein dickes sorry an alle, die auf ihre warme Kopfbedeckung warten!

I promised myself I would start to post more regular this year, but so far it didn`t quite work out. At least I have a little excuse, I was ill over the last weeks. There is not much going on right now, I was reading too much and didn´t crochet/knit enough! So I have tons of UFOs piling up in my living room, unfinished objects I really want to end... Help!
At least I finished another hat and a headband. My husband thinks the latter is too 80s but he doesn´t like orange that much, I love it! It is the first time I tried the shell pattern and I really like it, it is very easy as well...! If anyone would like the headband or the hat, no problem, they will be under the "Such ein neues Zuhause/looking for a new home" section.
At the moment I try out some new things and it is more fun than finishing up the things on my list, so I am sorry for all of you waiting for something warm for your heads!

An der Arbeit / Working

Nicht wundern, dass gerade so wenig gepostet wird, ich bin ganz fleißig am arbeiten! Zwei Mützen wurden letzte Woche schon verschickt, zwei weitere schon abgegeben (und ich habe keine Bilder davon, aber sie waren sehr hübsch, wie ich finde!).

In Arbeit sind eine rote, eine linane, eine bunte, Testprojekte mit wunderschöner 100Farbspiele Wolle und das, woran ich sonst noch so arbeite! :) Nach den 3 angefangenen Mützen, warten noch 6 weitere, also werde ich nicht so einfach arbeitslos werden... ;-)

Die Fotos sind von einer Kindermütze mit abnehmbarer Bommel! Die wird Morgen übergeben! Und damit es bei der etwas dünneren Kinderwolle nicht zu kalt am Kopf wird, hab ich sogar noch etwas Stoff reingenäht! 

I am actually working and not just not posting! Two hats I send away last week, two more got handed over in person (and no, I don´t have pics, but I really liked them!) 

At the moment I have a red one, a purple one and a coloured one that I am working on. When I am done with these three, there are 6 more waiting for me, so works still awaits me!

The pictures are of a child`s hat with a pompom that can be taken off. This one I hand over tomorrow and because the children´s wool isn´t very thick, I have sewn some fabric into it! 

Backpacker-Mütze 1

Zuerst: das wird der erste zweisprachige Post, also nicht wundern!
Ich bin auch hier in Italien nicht ganz untätig, obwohl es sich bei 40° schlecht handarbeitet... Eine Mütze ist jedenfalls fertig, eine andere und zwei Schals angefangen... :) Ich freue mich schon auf den Herbst, wenn ich kein schlechtes Gewissen haben muss, wenn ich mich mit was zu stricken auf die Couch setze und Tee trinke...
Hier ist die erste fertige Mütze für eine der Backpackerinnen, die nach Norwegen geht, da musste es was warmes sein!

This is the first bilingual post because I finally need to put it in English as well so all the nice people I met abroad are able to read this as well :)
I am not completely doing nothing here in Italy even though 40° make crocheting and knitting quite hard. I am done with one hat, have another nearly finished and am knitting two scarves as well. :) I am very much looking forward to autumn because then I can sit on my couch without feeling bad, knitting and drinking tea!
This one is the first finished hat for one of my fellow backpackers who is going to Norway and needs something very warm!
